Camelions 'backbone' is a sturdy, yet lightweight aluminium structure which can be mounted to almost any harness and wing. By means of a bayonet catch, the electronics chamber and scrubber lid are mounted to this frame. The electronics chamber is isolated from the frame by using O-rings and a moisture-free passage. All these components are designed and machined using the latest CAD/CAM techniques.
On the sides, two stainless steel (optionally in titanium) tank holders are fixed which also contain the manifolds. The base of the structure allows Camelion to stand upright when fully equipped.
When the tank holders and base are removed, Camelion fits on to an A3 size sheet of paper. With dimensions of only 20 by 40 by 16 cm, it becomes very compact while travelling.
